Using science for conservation
Science is at the heart of SavingSpecies’ conservation approach. Our successes show that science can provide the basis for smart conservation decisions that spend our donors’ money wisely and effectively.
Our Science Board
The SavingSpecies Science Board comprises the world’s most renowned and accomplished conservation scientists. The Science Board reviews all projects and approves those that meet our requirements. This vetting process ensures that our projects save as many species as possible for the amount of money spent. Read more about our Science Board.
CPR for Earth
Our approach of connecting, protecting and restoring habitat, or CPR, relies on exhaustive scientific work, including satellite remote-sensing, biodiversity mapping and species ecology and behavior. Learn more about CPR for Earth.
Pimm Global Conservation
Supporting our conservation work is an even larger network of conservation scientists and professionals around the world. Dr. Pimm’s research group of research assistants, undergraduates and graduates focuses on the biology and biogeography of species and populations. Their research is essential to SavingSpecies’ innovative and effective conservation. Learn more about Pimm Global Conservation.
